MNS, or Military Nursing Service is an exam which recruits young female aspirants to become Military Nursing Officers. This exam gives the chance to serve the country through their service in the capacity of the Military Nursing Officer. For this, MNS Written Exam 2021 was conducted on 28th July 2021 by the Indian Army. Those who will clear the cut-off will be called for the SSB Interview followed by a medical examination for the final selection. Military Nursing Service: Expected Cut-Off 2021

The expected cut-off for the MNS 2021 exam is based on the previous year trends, difficulty level of the exam and the number of vacancies. The cut-off for any exam is the minimum qualifying mark that a candidate needs to secure in order to qualify for that particular exam.

Military Nursing Service: SSB Interview 2021

MNS 2021 Written Exam has already been concluded on 28th July 2021. Now the students are waiting for the results to be announced. The students who will clear the cut-off will be called for SSB Interview. Therefore, aspirants should start their preparation for the SSB Interview. Interviews may be held in the month of October or November. Following the successful completion of the MNS Interview, the selected applicants will have a medical test to determine their physical and mental suitability for military service.

Important Documents for SSB Interview

Before going for the SSB Interview, an aspirants must carry certain documents in the original form.
  • 10th or equivalent Certificate in support of the date of birth of the candidates.
  • 10+2 or equivalent Certificate & mark sheet
  • Interview Call Letter
  • Aadhar Card
  • Gap Certificate, as the case may be.
  • Two latest Character Certificates issued from different Gazetted Officers.
  • Bonafide certificate issued by the School Principal along with an attested copy of the admit card of the board examination in case of 12th appearing candidates.
  • Domicile Certificate/Nationality Certificate (DC/NC ).
  • Dependent Certificate of Army/Ex-Personnel, as the case may be.
  • Certificate of SC/ ST, as applicable in case of the reserved categories
  • Dependent Certificate (DC) of Army / Ex-Service personnel from the Competent Authority, as the case may be.
  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate, if the candidate is an NCC Cadet
  • Certificate of Participation in the Sports Events at School/College/District/State/National Level, as the case may be.
  • At least 10 Colored Passport-size Photographs
  • Travel ticket for reimbursement of the conveyance charges.

SSB Medical Examination

To be deemed ‘Medically fit’, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/syndrome/disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of military duties in any terrain, climate, season including sea, and air, in remote areas, in austere conditions with no medical aid.

The candidate also should be free of medical conditions which require frequent visits to medical facilities and the use of any aid/drugs.

The minimum height for a female applicant is 148cm. However, candidates who are otherwise fit in all aspects but fall short of the required height will be given a 1.3 cm relaxation in height.

A candidate’s minimum permissible weight should be 39 kg. However, a ten percent variation on either side of the average is permissible, which indicates that a ten percent increase or decrease in a candidate’s weight is apparently fine. The weight of a candidate should be proportional to her height, as specified in the Indian Army’s medical criteria for female candidates.
