Questions asked about hobbies in SSB interview
The Personal Interview is very important in the whole SSB process. Here the candidate is interviewed by an Interviewing Officer for about 25-40 minutes. Most of the questions are asked from the PIQ form. There is a hobbies section in the PIQ form. Here are some important questions that can be asked about your hobbies, Interests, and Extra-curricular Activities.
Questions on Hobbies/Interests and Extra-curricular Activities:
General
1. What hobbies and extra activities do you pursue?
2. Why did you select this hobby and what was your motivation to pursue it?
3. How do you balance your time between studies and these activities?
4. How do you think these hobbies have benefitted you?
5. Do you think you have achieved anything due to these activities?
6. Do you feel, such activities assist you in your personality development? If yes, how?
7. As you get on with your life, how do you plan to continue pursuing such activities?
8. Can you name some persons who have achieved much by pursuing these hobbies?
9. Do you feel, participating in extra activities helps one become a better
team person and take more initiatives?
10. Do you feel every person must have some hobbies/interests?
