Last-minute revision tips for CDS 1 2021

The CDS 1 2021 exam is to be held on the upcoming Sunday, 7 Feb 2021. This is the high time when aspirants should focus totally on the revision. This article provides you with some very useful tips that can increase your score by a good margin.

•   The GS syllabus is very vast, hence it reduces the cost-benefit ratio. Whatever you have studied to this date, start revising now. Don’t go for further new material. Even if you score just minimum qualifying marks for this paper, you can be on the selection list through your overall score.

•   Thoroughly revise the Current Affairs. For this part you don’t really need to go deep down in any book, just read the past 6 months' CA at least from your suitable source. Around 15-16 questions of GS paper is current affairs based questions.

•   If you are a science background student then you can clear the GS paper on the basis of science and current affairs only, provided you revise thoroughly.

•   Revise the Indian Freedom Struggle incidents first then go for medieval and ancient history.

•   Revise all the trigonometry and mensuration formulas thoroughly, these two chapters have a significant weightage in the Mathematics paper.

•   Well begun is half done. Try to score as much as possible in the English paper, which is considered the easiest among the three papers. You should attempt more than 90% of the questions. For OTA aspirants English paper is very crucial because in the GS paper out of hundred marks most people score below 50% marks, so the Better your score here, the more are your chances to clear the exam.

•    In the GS paper time is not an issue, but accuracy plays a great role. For each question, you attempt you should read it at least twice. Read even both English and Hindi versions for better understanding.

•   In the mathematics paper, solve your most strong topic first rather than solving sequentially.

•   Mark the calculative questions for solving later. First, solve those questions which can be solved within a minute.
