Gallantry award, Know about Param Vir Chakra: Gallantry Awards have been set up by the Government of India to regard the showings of intensity and corrects of the experts/staff of the Armed Forces, other genuinely included Forces and standard people. These fortitude awards are pronounced twice in a year - first on the occasion of the Republic Day and a short period of time later on the occasion of the Independence Day. Following are the Gallantry Awards, The Param Vir Chakra, The Mahavir Chakra, The Ashoka Chakra, The Kirti Chakra, The Vir Chakra and The Shaurya Chakra. In this article, we will consider Param Vir Chakra Chakra.

Gallantry Award: Know about Param Vir Chakra


Instituted on 26 Jan 1950, to perceive the most prominent courage or some challenging or pre-famous demonstration of boldness or selflessness within the sight of the foe. 

Decoration: Circular fit as a fiddle, made of bronze, one and three eighth crawls in width and on front-side, four imitations of "Indra's Vajra" with the State Emblem (counting the saying), embellished in the inside. On its opposite, it will have emblazoned Param Vir Chakra both in Hindi and English with two lotus blossoms among Hindi and English. The fitting will be turn mounting. 

Strip: Plain purple shaded lace. 

Bar: If any beneficiary of the Chakra again performs such a demonstration of dauntlessness, as makes the person in question qualified to get the Chakra, such further demonstration of valiance will be recorded by a Bar to be joined to the riband by which the Chakra is suspended. For each Bar granted, a copy of the "Indra's Vajra" in small scale will be added to the riband when worn alone. 

The design is worn on the left bosom with a plain purple shaded riband about 3.2 cm in width.
