Defence Ministry delegates capital procurement powers to Armed Forces: On account of prevailing tight situation on the borders, the Ministry of Defense has designated the forces for pressing capital obtaining cases up to Rs 300 crore to the Indian Armed Forces. This choice by the service will empower the Indian powers to meet its emanant operational prerequisites. The Ministry of Defense stated, "Considering the security condition because of winning circumstance along the Northern Borders and the need to fortify the Armed Forces for the Defense of our outskirts, a Special Meeting of the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) was gathered on fifteenth July 2020 under the Chairmanship of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh. 

The DAC assigned the forces for advancing dire Capital Acquisition Cases upto Rs 300 crores to the Armed Forces to meet their developing operational prerequisites. This will shrivel the acquisition courses of events and guarantee situation of requests inside a half year and initiation of conveyances inside one year." 

Recently, the DAC had endorsed the acquirement of long range land assault journey rocket frameworks with a scope of 1,000 km, Astra rockets and 33 cutting edge warrior airplane, other than different stages at an expense of Rs 38,900 crore.
