How to join Army after 12th
NDA/NA (National Defence Academy/ Naval Academy)
NDA/NA exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year. All candidates who are interested in joining Indian Army, Navy or Air Force, can appear for NDA examination. NDA exam is known as the best way to join the Indian defence forces as an officer.
NDA exam eligibility criteria
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in India. The students appearing for 10+2 can also apply
- Candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics in 10+2
- Candidate must be unmarried
- Candidates must be physically fit
Conduct of Examination: April – May & Sept. – Oct
Type of commission- Permanent Commission
Training- National Defence Academy, khadakwasla followed by Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
TES Entry (Technical Entry Scheme) (Army)
Indian Army invites applications from 10+2 exam pass candidates for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) for the Grant of Permanent Commission twice a year.
Total No. of Vacancies: Approximately 90 Vacancies
Eligibilty- Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized education boards are eligible to apply for this entry.
Type of Commission: Permanent Commission
Training-
- Pre-commissioning training at Officers Training Academy, Gaya followed by:-
- College of Military Academy, pune
- Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, MHOW
- Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME). Secunderabad depending on the relevant choice of technical branch alloted.
