Republic Day 2020: Know about CRPF Women Bikers

Republic Day 2020: India is going to celebrate its 71st Republic day on 26th January and for the first time Women Bikers of Central Police Reserve Forces (CRPF) will  participate and start the republic day parade. According to CRPF officials the "Mahila Bikers" will showcase their aerobics skills and techniques on the gradeur-laced Rajpath. The daring "Mahila Bikers" would be performing different Motorcycle-borne stunts in Republic day parade. These daredevil stunts include:


  • Pistol Position
  • Rifle Position
  • Beam Roll
  • Ladder Climbing
  • Pyramid etc.

Know about CRPF Women Bikers

The Mahila bike team with denomination  "Dare Devil" was raised in 2014 to showcase the talent, valour, thrills and guts of its women personnel. This team comprise of 65 elite members of CRPF. Teams members are selected from various parts of the country where  they are selflessly serving the motherland.

The CRPF women team would be led by Inspector Sima Nag of Rapid Action Force (RAF). Presently, Central Reserve Force has 16 Mahila Battalions which are deployed in all parts of the country ranging from terror affected Jammu and Kashmir to Maoist affected Red Corridor of India. 

Central Reserve Force (CRPF) is the largest para-military force in the country which is tasked with the maintenance of the internal security of India. One women battalion of  CRPF has the distinction of being recipient of Ashok  Chakra- the highest peace-time gallantry awards.  Apart from gallantry awards CRPF Women Officers have achieved marked distinction in Padma Shree In various Sports at National and International Events.
