OTA Cadets and trainers display their skills ahead of POP

A day ahead of passing out parade at Indian Army's Officers Training Academy in Chennai, young cadets, their trainers and team of the Indian Army Showcased equestrian, para-motor, gymnastics and gatka on 06 Sept 2019.

Lieutenant General Sanjeev Kanal was chief guest of the event. The show started with equestrian display performed by the young cadets. It was followed by a gymnastic display. The team of para Regiment Training centre, Bengaluru presented the motor show.  At the end Gatka martial art was performed  at the event.

A total of 204 cadets would be passing out from OTA in Chennai for the batch of 2019. They include 153 Gentlemen Cadets, 30 Lady cadets, and 21 Foreign cadets (12 men and 9 women) from friendly countries

The Indian Army's Officers Training Academy are training establishments that train officers for the Short Service Commission (SSC). The durations of the course is 49-week that prepares graduates for all branches of the Army, except for the Army Medical Corps. The Academy was established in 1963, the first academy is located in the outskirts of Chennai.
