Indian Army recruitment Drive in Kashmir Valley on 3 and 4 Oct: 2780 Vacancies


Indian Army will be conducting a recruitment rally to select new recruit for the post of 2780 vacant post in the Jammu and Kashimir Light Infantry regiment on October 3 and 4

Recruitment rallies would be conducted by the Army Recruiting Office  (ARO) at Jammu and Srinagar and JAK Light Infantry regimental centre to select the recruits

Brig. S L Sharma Commandant, JAK Light Infantry recruitment centre Srinagar said "ARO Jammu, ARO Srinagar and JAK LI regimental centre will conduct rallies to select recruits"



Further Indian Army is continuously  mentoring the youth of Jammu and Kashmir by organising a Startup weekendat SMVD University, Katra from 20-22 Sept in association with Tech Stars (Bengaluru Based Start-Up seed accelerator).

Indian Youth would be encouraged and motivated to pitch ideas, workshops would be organised on minimum viable products and prototype creation and also on the legal implication of Start ups.


The JAK Light Infantry is an infantry regiment of the Indian Army. The JAK LI regimental center is in Srinagar's Airport Complex at Avantipur with a winter setup near Jammu. JAK LI regimental insignia consists of a pair of crossed rifles. The regiment mostly consists of volunteers from the state of Jammu & Kashmir. 50 percent of the JAK LI regiment's troops are Muslims while the rest represent other ethnic groups from the state.
