Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the result of AFCAT 02/2019 which was conducted on 24 and 25 August 2019. It has been announced online, on, via login. Candidates may check the result by logging in by the provided registered Email-id and paasword. It is available as scorecard, in which marks of candidates and qualifying status is mentioned. All those candidates who have qualified the exam will now be called for AFSB test, which will begin from October 21, 2019. Candidates are required to select the AFSB centre as per the availability.   • Enter the registered email and password
  • AFCAT-II 2019 result will be displayed on the screen.

Standard and Syllabus for AFCAT exam

AFCAT exam consists of four sections and EKT( for ground duty(technical) branch only will consist of mechanical, computer science and electrical & electronics.

NOTE:  Exam will consist of objective type questions and will be in English only for both AFCAT and EKT.

Englishcomprehension, error detection, sentence completion/filling in of the correct word, synonyms, antonyms, and testing of word, vocabulary, idiom, and phrases
General AwarenessHistory, geography,civics,politics,current affairs,environment basic science,defence, art culture, sports etc.
Numerical AbilityDecimal fraction, time and work, average, profit and loss, percentage, ratio and proportion and simple interest, time and distance(trains/boats and streams)
Reasoning and military aptitude testVerbal skill and spatial ability

Standard: Subjects other than numerical ability will be of graduation level and numerical ability will be of matriculation level.

Testing of AFSB would consist of three stages:

(a)Stage-1: This test is a screening test and only qualified candidates would go for further rounds. Qualified candidates will require to go for document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branch they have applied for. Those who failed to meet the necessary requirements would be sent back on the first day itself.

(b)Stage-2: Psychological test will be conducted on day one and the group and interview would start after the document check for the next five days.

(c)For Flying Branch: Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test.
