Design of Mobile Metallic Ramp Handed Over to Indian Army by DRDO

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) yesterday handed over the design of Mobile Metallic Ramp (MMR) to the Indian Army at a ceremony held at DRDO Bhawan on 20 August 2019. Chairman of DRDO, Dr G Satheesh Reddy handed over the design of Mobile Mettalic Ramp to Vice Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Devraj Anbu.
Mobile Mettalic Ramp have a load bearing capacity of 70 metric ton (MT), it has been designed and developed by DRDO’s premier research laboratory, Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES) on the requirements projected by Indian Army for reducing the Strategic Mobility time of mobilizing Armoured Fighting Vehicles. 
Mobile Metallic Ramp will provide the strategic mobility for Armoured and Mechanized units and formations of the Army. MMR is portable with modern design, which can be easily assembled and disassembled.
Vice Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Devraj Anbu appreciated the design of Mobile Metallic Ramp  and praised the efforts of DRDO towards meeting the requirement of the Indian Army by substantially  reducing the time required for operational mobilization.
Director General of Operational Logistics& Strategic Movement, Lt Gen Nav K Khanduri, and Directors General of DRDO and Director CFEES, Rajiv Narang were also present at the function.
Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh congratulated Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)  and Indian Army for the successful development of innovative product Mobile Mettalic Ramp
