Esprit de Corps: The President's Bodyguard



The spirit of a body is the essence of the term Esprit de Corps. It's a feeling of pride and mutual loyalty shared by the members of a group. The troops with a higher Esprit de Corps are motivated, full of Josh and more often that not victorious under any circumstance. Following are the snapshots of this mighty regiment.

Alias: PBG

PBG is the senior-most in the order of precedence of the units of the Indian Army. The primary role of the PBG is to escort and protect the President of India.
The personnel of the regiment are also trained as paratroopers and nominally are expected to lead in airborne assaults in the role of parachute pathfinders.

The PBG has the unique distinction of being the only military unit in the Indian Army, privileged to carry the President’s Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner.
