INS Kochi is a Kolkata-Class stealth guided-missile destroyer of the Indian Navy which is also affiliated to the regiment.

At the time of raising, the Regiment was called Jammu & Kashmir Militia and was a paramilitary force under the Home Ministry. Later it was renamed to Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry in 1976.
