AFCAT 2019: Exam Dates, Pattern, Syllabus & Eligibility

AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The notification has been released for AFCAT 01/2019 for the posts of Flying Branch & Ground Duty Staff. Here we provide you with a detailed view of the AFCAT Eligibility Criteria.

Final Date of Application: 30th December 2018
Date of online Exam:         16th & 17th February

AFCAT Eligibility Criteria For Ground Posts

Age Criteria (as on 1st January 2020)

Flying Branch 
Minimum Age – 20 years
Maximum Age – 24 years
Note – A candidate must have been born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2000.

Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical Branches)
Minimum Age – 20 years
Maximum Age – 26 years
Note – A candidate must have been born between 02 January 1994 to 01 January 2000.

Educational Qualification

Flying Branch 
You must have a Graduate Degree in any discipline (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)/BE/B Tech from a recognized University.
If you are in your Final Year/Semester, then also you are eligible to apply, provided you produce Degree Certificate issued by the University as per the date fixed by AFSB.
There will be no minimum percentage bar for Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) entry.

For Ground Duty (Technical)
You must have a Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks from a recognised University.
You must have cleared Section A & B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum 60% marks.

For Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
You must have cleared Section A & B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum 60% marks.
