Complex Numbers: Maths Notes for NDA, CDS, AFCAT & CAPF

A number of the form a + ib where a & b are real numbers, is defined to be a complex number
The set of all complex number is denoted by C,
i.e. C = {a + ib |a, b ϵ R}
If z = a + ib is a complex number then ‘a’ is called the real part of z (Re (z)) and ‘b’ is known as the imaginary part of z (Im(z)).
